Starting on March first every year, students and teachers long for spring break to begin. This year Spartans enjoyed an 11-day stretch of time free from bells and books. Some people traveled and others stayed, but everyone needed the rest.
Freshman Brooklyn Hambrick said, “I went to my Grandma’s for Easter. I spent time with my family and did an Easter egg hunt, then we had a nice dinner. All I did for spring break was hang with family and sleep a lot.”
Sophomore Casey Yates went on vacay for spring break, and said she enjoyed it because she got to sleep in. “I went to visit my sister in South Carolina,” she said, “and in North Carolina I went shopping at the outlets, then to Carowinds [an amusement park], and to The Cheesecake Factory.”
Sophomore Jillian Bryan also vacationed. She went to Florida. “I got sun poisoning twice in a week,” Bryan said. “I went to the beach and the river. It was very very fun, and I go there every single break.”
