As the school year comes to an end, students reminisce about the events of the nine months. There were ups and downs, but we made it through. Let’s take a look at some highlights of this amazing school year here at Greenbrier East.
It was such an exciting year at GEHS. We recognized veterans, became basketball and track and field state champions, won our homecoming game, held pep rallies, parades, a prom, and so much more. It was truly a year for the books.
“My favorite memory was helping out in the Pre-K, because they are super cute,” said Junior Julia Olson. “I also enjoyed getting to do the Culinary food cart because we always got to make yummy foods.”
The electives here at EAST always make students’ year. This year, the culinary classes made treats for prom, the education classes helped at other schools, HOSA and business classes attended Marshall University SCORES, FFA went to Ireland, and so much more. From fixing cars to watching robot babies, we really did it all.
“One highlight from this year was definitely the Homecoming pep rally,” said freshman Connor Baker. “I went to the football game that night, and it was fun, too.”
We had so many fun gatherings this year. There were dances and ecstatic sporting events that everyone enjoyed. There really is never a dull moment at East.
