The New Year is upon us. With 2025 in the rearview mirror, there are a few of its viral trends that most people agree should be left behind also.
According to waltonian.eastern.edu, trends like “6 7,” Labubu dolls, and the use of artificial intelligence are some of the most annoying trends of 2025.
The “6 7” trend has been overused by younger generations throughout the year. It doesn’t appear to be going anywhere quickly, but it’s slowly dying down.
“I think that the “6 7″ trend shows how easily entertained people are,” auto body instructor Mr. Perkins said. “It should definitely be left in 2025.”
Labubu are small, angry-faced dolls that made quite a splash in 2025. Many people have amassed large collections of Labubu and made it their mission to collect the rarest ones.
“Labubu are overhyped,” freshman Iris Huffman said. “They should be left in 2025.”
The use of AI exploded in 2025, so much so that it is replacing human authenticity in intelligence, jobs, photography, videography, and more.
Junior Emmalee Perkins shared her opinion on the presence of AI in a college setting.
“Future doctors and nurses will not know how to diagnose and treat patients due to the excessive use of AI in college.”
