Thanksgiving is a day full of food, friends, family, and giving thanks. During the whole month of November everyone can be thankful. This year the students and staff are feeling extra grateful.
“I am grateful for life and being able to do what I do,” Coach Lee said.” I’m grateful to be able to help the young people be in the right mind. It’s my motivation.”
Sophomore Maddie Wellman’s favorite part of Thanksgiving is seeing all her family and all the delicious food she gets to eat.
“I’m thankful for family and food on my plate,” she said.
From the GEHS community a common theme emerged of gratitude for the people who make everyday life meaningful.
“I am thankful for my friends who stuck around and my family,” sophomore Blakelyn Adwell said. “My favorite part is the food and getting to see all the cousins that live out of state.”
“There’s so many things to be grateful for,” Principal Neil Jones said. “I am most grateful for my family and their health.”
From classroom friendships to family ties, the things that make Spartans grateful go well beyond delicious dishes arranged on a holiday table.
