How Should Our Clubs Change?

Personally, I feel like our school offers students such a large selection of clubs that it’s very hard to make a decision! Many more appealing opportunities have been added recently. Clubs already offer an opportunity for students to expand their knowledge in certain fields, but they only get to decide annually what it is they’ll expose themselves to.

We are able to attend our clubs only once a month. Scheduling clubs twice a month would positively impact student growth without substantially increasing lost instructional time. More club time would also provide something for kids to look forward to. I personally wouldn’t mind having some extra work at the end of my day if the trade-off was to spend more time with the members of my club.

While it may be difficult to coordinate when clubs may meet during the day, more coordination efforts could be made through administration and students involved in their clubs. Clubs are permitted to meet after school if they please, but that’s impractical due to many students’ schedules. It’ll be entirely up to administration whether more time spent with clubs will be attainable.
