After nearly two decades off the screen, Rachel Green and friends are coming back for one night in HBO Max’s Friends reunion special. Friends: The Reunion (also titled Friends: The One Where They Get Back Together) comes out on May 27.

The highly-anticipated special explores Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc back in Monica Geller’s purple apartment and on the iconic orange Central Perk couch, all on Stage 24 on the Warner Bros Studios lot in Burbank, California.

Back on set for the first time in 17 years, the cast discusses memories, reads through iconic scenes, and answers the question: Were Ross and Rachel really on a break?

While they have stayed in touch, this is the first time all six cast members have been together since the finale in 2004.

“It’s funny,” Matt LeBlanc said to People Magazine, “when we do get together it’s like no time has passed.”

Friends: The Reunion will also bring back supporting cast members Tom Selleck, Maggie Wheeler, James Michael Tyler, Reese Witherspoon, Elliot Gould and Christina Pickles, as well as appearances from big names like Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber.

Friends, in its ten-season run, remains one of the most-watched series of all time. While on Netflix, Friends gained a new generation of fans, making it more relevant than ever before.

Hosted by late-night talk show host James Corden, Friends: The Reunion, a non-scripted special, comes out on May 27 on HBO Max.
