Members of our GEHS community cherish different holidays from the thrill of Halloween to the egg-citement of Easter, but Christmas seems to bring the most joy.
- Social studies teacher Michael Erskine likes Christmas because we get to celebrate the birth of Jesus and experience joy with family and loved ones.
- Sophomore Jillian Bryan’s favorite holiday is Christmas because it’s so whimsical.
- Sophomore Abby Haynes loves Christmas because she likes gift giving to friends and family.
- Sophomore Casey Yates likes Christmas because it’s the birth of Jesus and she gets to spend lots of quality time with family .
- Early childhood teacher Susie Haynes says Halloween is her favorite holiday because she likes the magical fall vibe and the cool costumes.
- English teacher Mindy Smith’s favorite holiday is Easter because spring flowers are beautiful and summer break is just around the corner.
- Assistant Principal Joey Hodge likes the Fourth of July because it’s warm outside, the days are longer, and the fireworks are awesome.
- Senior Macie Morgan’s favorite holiday is also the Fourth of July because of the fireworks, plus she gets to spend good time with family and eat amazing food.
