Jimmy Donaldson, more commonly known as “MrBeast,” is a popular YouTuber with over 100 million subscribers. In addition to generously donating to the less fortunate, Donaldson is widely known for his elaborate stunts. He recently opened a new restaurant called MrBeast Burger, but have you noticed there are no MrBeast restaurants popping up that you can actually enter, or even just see along the road? That’s because MrBeast is opening these restaurants through a concept known as the ghost kitchen.

According to nonprofit news organization The Conversation, ghost kitchens “are physical spaces for operators to create food for off-premises consumption.”  Ghost kitchens can exist inside already established chains like Outback or Buffalo Wild Wings, or just inside a commercial kitchen with no storefront. Food must be ordered through a delivery app like Grubhub, Uber Eats, or DoorDash. In exchange for a cut of the sales revenue, a brand like MrBeast can supply the name, logo, menu, recipes, and publicity images to any restaurant or kitchen owner with the space and staff to make the food as a delivery side hustle.

In recent months, DoorDash has opened service to the people of Greenbrier County, and recently the app shows a MrBeast Burger right here in Lewisburg. You may be asking yourself, “Where is this restaurant?” Well, the address DoorDash provides is Ruby Tuesday’s address!

So, do you think Ruby Tuesday’s is MrBeast Burger’s ghost kitchen, or is this a mistake? Let us know if you’ve ordered from MrBeast’s by leaving a comment!
