Every year it seems that Christmas starts earlier and earlier. In fact this year, most stores had their Christmas decorations out long before Halloween. So how early is too early to start celebrating Christmas? 

Personally, I think we should definitely wait until after Thanksgiving to start celebrating Christmas, but it’s not because I like Thanksgiving that much. It’s just that when we start celebrating Christmas too early it feels like the Christmassy mood begins to wear off, to the point that when December 25th actually arrives, it doesn’t even feel like Christmas.

As Kayla Buckmaster pointed out in last month’s “Fall” article, autumn is an amazing time of year that only lasts for so long, while Christmas is most definitely a winter holiday. So slow down, enjoy fall, and keep Christmas special.
