What is waterdrop®? Waterdrop® is a dissolvable flavored tablet you put into your water bottle with the aim of increasing your daily intake of H2O.

According to waterdrop.com, the tablets are made by condensing the essence of “the best fruits and plants from trusted farmers all around the globe” into an aromatic “pure powder.” The company’s delicious goal is to motivate consumers to replenish their bodies with 3 liters of water per day in order to perform daily activities with hydrated minds and selves.

Why should you drink water anyway? According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), “Drinking water can prevent dehydration, a condition that can cause unclear thinking, mood change, the body to overheat, constipation, and kidney stones.”

How much water is enough? The Mayo Clinic recommends “About 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day for men. About 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids a day for women.” Drinking Water is very important as it helps improve your overall health and mind.

I tried out my first waterdrop® tablet this week. My first impression was that it looked like a pill or some type of Liquid I.V. to help with major hydration. I tried the “Zen” flavor. The taste wasn’t too sweet and had a bit of a natural tone to it. I also felt like I really was just drinking water since the liquid remains clear once the tablet dissolves. However, the fact that I added the tablet to only about 17 ounces of water makes me question whether the product would actually help me drink more water. I’d have to add a tablet to every serving of water I drink, which would quickly add up: the cost averages out to about $1 per tablet.

Would I try waterdrop® again? Yes! The taste is subtle and refreshing with no bad aftertaste. I would enjoy trying all the other flavors.
